Whether you do wear makeup or don’t and whether you even like it or not, makeup can make the average person look like a million bucks. And it doesn’t even take that much product to accomplish that.

Being a newly certified Master Makeup Artist, although I’ve been doing this my entire life, I’ve seen just how much making a little effort to look what I called “finished” can do for a person. Sure a lot of people flip it off as unimportant or vanity. But is that really the case?

Doing something just for us, an indulgence so to speak, makes us happy. We go for facials, spa weekends, massages, haircut and color, and even tattoos! And makeup is in that family of indulgences.

And men should think about a modicum of makeup as well. More and more men are doing skincare. Their wives or significant others delay the aging process with their own skincare regimens. Why shouldn’t the men? And for special occasions such as one’s wedding or family photos or school reunions, do a modicum of makeup to cover blemishes, smooth out one’s skin…makeup that blends right in and in no ways looks like the man is wearing anything. His skin just looks great! We Makeup Artists have some tricks in our makeup bags that can accomplish a great look with very little product and totally undetected. Cool huh?
